Since the introduction of the European Block Exemption legislation in 2003, you are entitled to have your vehicles serviced and repaired at a garage of your choice without invalidating the original manufacturer’s warranty

 

Previously, motorists were required to have their vehicle servicing and repairs carried out at their main car dealer, so as not risk invalidating the vehicle's warranty.

 

This is no longer the case. The EC Block Exemption Regulation 1400/2002 now allows motorists more flexibility in selecting where they can get their car serviced.
